Appointment

Occasionally one of the two friends would phone the other to make an appointment. The men would then go to a restaurant they were fond of and, as usual, they would order a casserole full of snails and a bottle of Campoviejo. Sitting opposite each other they would proceed to eat the snails and drink the wine in complete silence. Not a word would be exchanged between them for as long as there was food in the casserole and wine in the bottle. The two of them would only concentrate on the pleasure derived from the eating and the drinking. Actually, theirs was not much of a friendship.
