When he got home last night ...

When he got home last night they all told him they had gone through their most disgusting experience ever. That happened earlier that day, a few hours ago, during the course of the morning, but the exact time of the event is not what matters. What is really important is that it was the most disgusting experience all of them had ever been confronted with. And they were fairly serious about it. He first raised his doubt and questioned them collectively as a group to which they all replied in unison and with remarkable confidence on the indisputable fact that what they had witnessed was the most sickening experience of their entire lives. The answer, seamless and uniform, confirmed their one hundred percent agreement. He then proceeded to ask them apart, one by one, until after the first few hundred it was all too obvious there was no mistaking in their assertion. The wave function collapsed and in the microscopic interim he was afforded to disentangle away the macroscopic realization between the desire to know and the actual knowledge he chose much too thoughtlessly a predictably wrong choice.
