Murakami's book on his long-distance running long-term experience ("What I talk about when I talk about running") presents the acclaimed author plain and undisguised, without the aura I had concluded was surrounding his body telling from the inspection of the main male characters of his novels, all seemingly connected somehow. No, Haruki's not so apparently embedded in his characters as I thought. That's come as a bit of a surprise, to be honest.
